Welcome to Devious Point, a quiet and quaint little town in the middle of nowhere. In a town like this, every little secret revealed is pretty much a big deal, but the secrets that have been revealed lately, in the past six months, have been ones to die for .. almost literally.
Let's go back to May 27th, 2007, when Devious Point first got it's name back on the map. It had been a nice and normal day, with junior prom preparations going on for the students in Devious Point High and no one suspected that just eleven hours later, two prized students would be found face down in the mud surrounding Willow's Creek. But the unsuspected had definitely happened. Now, for large city's like New York or something, it would be perfectly normal to find someone dead after a huge event like junior prom or a post prom party, but in Devious Point, well, let's just say it shocked everyone. While the first of the two boy's deaths had been ruled an accident, the second was concluded to be cold-blooded murder. And if that wasn't enough to wake up the town a bit, then what was?
Scared and confused, the residents in Devious Point continued their lives, avoiding contact with anyone they might have suspected. But that didn't seem to be enough and even time [say .. summer vacation?] wasn't enough to put the past behind everyone. With the dead body of yet another student from Devious Point High turning up just a month or so after everyone returned to their daily lives, the mystery that had shocked and frightened the town once again was opened for investigation, this time adding that a serial killer could possibly be to blame.
But in a town like this, new people are noticed rather quickly and the only newest residents seemed rather keen on keeping to themselves quite a lot rather than being out there, striking up conversations with potential murder victims. Which, can only lead people to believe, that the ones responsible for this horrible crime are people that they have trusted for years. The ones that know all of their secrets, but apparently never entrusted them with theirs. Someone in Devious Point is on a killing spree and no one has a clue as to who it could be.
Which is the main reason that, although it annoys the hell out of the cops and investigators involved in tracking down whoever's responsible, students at Devious Point High have been taking matters into their own hands. They've lost friends and loved ones in this whole matter and quite a lot of students have decided they won't just stand around and watch the town's name turn into any more of a reality.
With lies, secrets, and betrayal ruining the town, will the people of Devious Point ever be safe again? Will the ones responsible for this nightmare that people must live in be caught? Or are they going to forever run loose, chaotic throughout the town? At this point, no one is safe. No one can be trusted. And no one is to blame. Are you really willing to step foot in town that could possible hold the key to your end? Are you ready to put your trust in people who are capable of such terror?
