Greater L.A, Ca, USA has a population of 13 and a half million.
It spans, 469.1 square miles.
It is one of the world centres of culture, education, science, technology and trade.
It leads the world in film, music and television.
And you…
Well…
You’re one person in 13 million trying to make it.
See the thing is,
This city is so big you’re gonna have a hard time getting noticed.
Millions of people have come here seeking fame and fortune.
Millions have failed.
It’s what gives LA its huge homelessness rates,
The high crime and drugs.
Lock your door at night,
Because that guy sitting on your street corner,
Would shoot you for a dollar.
The few who do make it though…
They live up on the hills in their apartments and houses,
The people with money flock here,
The people without watch them go past.
It’s who you know.
Not what you know.
Young Hollywood is never kind.
Fame is fickle,
It will pick you up,
Suck the blood from you…
Rip the red carpet out from under your feat,
Then spit you back out on to the street.
They are merciless.
It’s money, money, money.
Always has been.
Always will be.
Don’t try to change it kid.
