Have you ever imagined walking across beaches in the scorching hot sun all year round? After thinking about it, did you decide that it just wasn't the way that you wanted to live? Have you ever wanted to go up north and explore through fields and open areas? And have you ever wanted to actually see and feel the snow as it falls gently onto the ground? Well, imagine this. You're walking through a field with the cool breeze brushing against your skin. It isn't too hot, and it isn't too cold for the summer. Then, the seasons change. It's autumn and the leaves are turning all different colours and it's a notch cooler than the summer. You're walking down the street kidding around with some friends as the sun starts to slowly set.
Skip to winter. The nights come faster as the days grow shorter. The darkness enveils your surroundings. And upon the ground, there lays a soft pile of snow. You get into something warm and you run outside as the snow falls from the sky. Lying down in the snow, you move your arms and legs and create the most beautiful snow angel. It's quite a bit colder than where you were before, but it's worth it for all this beauty. Then the snow melts and it's spring. The flowers are blooming and the warmth of the sun has come to your rescue. Well, if that's what you're looking for, then you've come to the right place!
Welcome to Sunnyside Creek! It's home to some of the most dramatic people you'll ever encounter. But, beyon it's name, and the weather, what else is there to it? Sunnyside Creek is set in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is also home of the one and only Shallow High. Not only is Shallow High a great boarding school, but many things come along with it. It's the best high school in all of Sunnyside Creek.
Our courses range from the arts to maths and from sports to history and music to literature. Anything you could ask for, here's the place to start working on your future. After all, you've only got four years and, sure, you can spend them slacking off, but what good will that do you? The staff at Shallow High are some of the best teachers from all over the world. Different languages, ages and cultures. And they all know about many different things. Sure, they may be teaching something, but they can know all about another!
So, the school building is closed during summer vacations and whenever there are vacations. And they're even shut for students on Profesional Development days. Or, the ever so famous, P.D. Day. So, going to school here really isn't all that hard. And the teachers always try and make their classes fun. Although, there is the odd teacher that might turn you off. But, hey, there has to be at least one kill joy!
There are chess teams, sports teams, a band and we also have a classical rock band. And there are many activities through the year. For exmaple, the Battle Of The Bands. Yes, and there are carnivals and many other thnigs. So, fasten your seat belts, because this, my friends, it going to be awesome! All the teams go under the name of "The Shallow High Backstabbers". Now, that seems like an odd name for a school team. But, with a name like Shallow High for the school, it seems to fit quite well.
Where do you live, you ask? Well, that's quite simple! There are neighbourhoods for those that live with families and come to the school. And, there are also co-ed, yes, co-ed, dorms that are on campus. In each dorm, there are two students that live there. Sometimes they'll be co-ed, sometimes they won't. And if you don't want to be in a co-ed dorm, all you have to do is talk to the dean. And that will all be sorted nicely.
But, don't let all this wonderful education system turn you away. Beneath it all, there are millions of party people. Everyone loves to have a little bit of fun! And, well, this is the place to come. Drugs, alcohol, sex, hardcore teen partying, etc, etc... It's all here. Here are Shallow High, anything is possible. Your best friend might go behind your back and steal your boyfriend. Your worst enemy can end up being madly in love with you! But, if you love drama, then this is the place for you!
