In the early 1800's, 1807, a building was founded. It started out as the largest jail in the state of New Jersey. It stayed a jail for a hundred years, until 1907 when rumors started up about it. Apparently prisoners over the years had been alive and healthy one day, and dead the next day. Why they died, no one knows, how they died was another question all together. With no answer to that either. No one could ever figure it out, how they died. So they claimed it was evil spirits that haunted the building, evil spirits of past prisoners who were getting revenge for ever being put in jail in the first place. Nothing had been said about it until a guard was killed. Then they shut the place down. They didn’t care that the prisoners had been dying, oh no, they only cared that the guard died. And they still never found out how.
After that the building was deserted. No one wanted to go anywhere near it for over 80 years. They were afraid they would die too. Unknown to most people though the building became a gang hide out, and a hideout for anyone who the world seemed to hate. Who the world rejected, they just hung out there, making it there safe place. For the gangs it was a place where they planned what they were going to do and sometimes even hid their dead there. In 1990 a police officer named, Henry Whitaker, found all the dead bodies when he was working on a murder case. To make sure that the gangs didn’t keep their dead there anymore he hired people to fix it up. Modernizing it. When the building was finished he turned it into an Institute.
Whitaker Institute was for people who committed crimes, some went here instead of jail; it was for people who claimed or others claimed had special powers. They considered those people crazy, well the staff did. They couldn’t bring themselves to believe that anyone could have any kind of special powers. All the people who had been using the building as their safe place were admitted into the building, because most of them had ‘special powers’. Henry Whitaker owns the place now, and is head of staff. On staff they have doctors and scientists. No one wants to be sent here, they know bad things happen, but they don't know what. You don't find that out until you arrive. The doctors are mean, Henry doesn't care, and the scientists just want to take tests on the patients. Sometimes even use the shock treatment. Some of the ‘patients’ as they are called believe in the ghost stories, others don’t. But is it true? Are there really ghosts in Whitaker Institute? Can it be true? Are evil spirits lurking around the corner?

Well you can hide a lot about yourself
But honey what are you gonna do?
And you can sleep in a coffin
But the past ain’t through with you,
Cos we are all a bunch of liars
Tell me baby who do you wanna be?
And we are all about to sell it
Cus its tragic with a capital ‘T’
Let it be, Let it be, LET IT BE
But honey what are you gonna do?
And you can sleep in a coffin

Another knife in my hands,
a stain that never comes off the sheets
Clean me off
I'm so dirty babe,
the kind of dirty where the water never cleans off the clothes.
I keep a book of the names and those
only goes so far to bury them
So deep in town we go.
a stain that never comes off the sheets
Clean me off
I'm so dirty babe,
the kind of dirty where the water never cleans off the clothes.
I keep a book of the names and those
