a n u n u s u a l s c h o o l...In the early twentieth century, masses of letters from a rather private school were shipped out, telling people the news.. Girls wrote home, describing the efforts being made to make the famous Geranium schools for boys and girls. While the plan was complete in 1916, many boys enrolled alongside the girls. Now, in the modern age, boys and girls of all races and from around the world have come to the school.

What makes the Geranium series of schools so fascinating? Aside from their diverse and advanced curriculem, it's also the setting and experience. You see, the Geranium schools are located on an island off the coast of France. The original students all spoke fluent French, but as the school became less exclusive, more languages and background were allowed to attend. The school started out as simply a high school, when a junior high was introduced, and shortly later, a college. Another unusual aspect of this school is the island itself. With no particular shape, the island is small when referring to land masses, barely a dot on a large globe. However, after the schools opened for business, commerce soon came.

The shops and such around the island are restricted only to the students of the schools, allowing exceptions for past students and family members. If you walk into an arcade, you may very well be asked to show a school ID. Adding more to this academy-centered commerce, the neighborhoods are clustered with students and the likes. Again, people who attend or are visiting - or perhaps living with students or teachers - are the only ones who have homes. The Victorian-style houses are large enough for no more than four people, and they circle out from the main campus.

While this may seem like a fairy tale school, it comes at a price. The tuition is much more than any normal school, but that's not all. The school is overrun with typical teenage-like events; dramas, rumors, secrets, lies, enemies, cliques, parties. While no teachers are on duty in each home, living down a block might not make them able to stop you from doing anything you may regret.
